With a professional geneology to see if I have a claim to citizenship in Europe?
| question of Josué M : geneology With a professional to see if I have a claim to citizenship in Europe ?
All professional genealogists seem expensive, but they all seem to “family trees” and similar things work, I just want to find out if I have a claim to citizenship in Europe ancestry, I do not care to find out a “family tree” care or anything else really. Is there a professional genealogist who can do this? and who is not as expensive as the $ 1,000 I’m seeing everywhere? Yeah, that’s Italy 1 I’m looking, I already know the requirements so now I just need to find documents. Best Answer :

genealogists .. PROFESSIONAL OR OTHERWISE … Use documentation to define who you are, in fact, came from. Hate to tell you, but that is exactly what is needed for you to apply for Italian citizenship. Apparently you have not identified any of your ancestors, or if you already know that your grandfather gr (for example) was born in Italy. Or are you just hoping for an ancestor who was born in Italy? Either way Ahnenforschung.Nein goes, you certainly do not need a professional to do this, you just need to understand what you need to (instead of rejecting) herausfinden.Wenn your Italian gr grandfather was the immigrant .. and he applied for naturalization, then he will renounce his citizenship in Italien.bearbeitensetzen this just more … you must have a “family tree” that other than knowing who is not your ancestors, to validate certain data sets. These are the Dokumente.Für the majority of Americans, you should be able, at minimal cost, to identify with your parents / grandparents who were born before 1940, so they can find in this census. With that .. You can come back for little or no cost, “work” of the census of 1900, which is available, free, at www.familysearch.com. The (original, full screen) census entry would tell you .. the place of birth of the person, date of birth and about the birth place of his / her parents. Depending on your particular situation (ie your parents born in America), one of the regulars here can find this information in maybe 30 minutes or less. If parents born elsewhere, so this does not apply.

An easy task for any professional or hobby genealogist………. and just as easy for you to do it……
Parent/Grandparent an Italian citizen then you get birth certs, depending on years ….Europe has forced Italy and a couple of other EU countries to tighten up their citizenship route as they took anyone at one time…. but people like yourself ( as you say) are not interested in the country or the ancestry, just the passport to Europe and the rest of Europe have a say in that………..
For dual citizenship in Italy you must meet one of the following.
1) your father was an Italian citizen at the time of your birth and you never renounced your right to Italian citizenship;
2) your mother was an Italian citizen at the time of your birth, you were born after January 1, 1948 (and before April 27, 1965) and you never renounced your Italian citizenship;
3) your paternal grandfather was an Italian citizen at the time of your father’s birth and neither you nor your father ever renounced your Italian citizenship;
4) your maternal grandmother was an Italian citizen at the time of your mother’s birth, your mother was born after January 1, 1948 and neither you nor your mother ever renounced your rights to Italian citizenship.
Note: Citizenship can not be passed down from anybody naturalized before July 1, 1912. This rule previously overlooked is now being enforced by some consulates.
Your Birth Certificate should indicate where your parents were born and their birth certificates where their parents were born. These documents should be relative easy to find. You do not need a “professional genealogists” to obtain copies of at most 5 birth certificates and possibly emigration records. Contact Ellis Island for information about emigration records.
The tutorial on Familysearch.org (first page bottom left corner click courses) has information on how to do genealogical research in Italy.
Don’t waste your money, when it is possible in a few hours you will know where your parents and Grandparents were born.
