Ancestry.com Slips After Q4 Report; Q1 Rev View Light
|Ancestry.com shares took a hit in late trading after the genealogy research site reported a mixed financial report for the fourth quarter.
For Q4, Ancestry reported revenue of $104.2 million, up 26% from a year ago, with profits of 40 cents a share; Street consensus had been for $104.1 million an 34 cents.
The company said its Web site had 1.7 million subscribers as of December 31, up 22% from a year ago and up slightly from Q3.
For Q1, the company sees revenue of $106 million to $108 million, a bit shy of the Street at $108.9 million. For the full year, Ancestry.com i projecting revenue of $455 million to $470 million; consensus was for $464.3 million.
