It doesn’t matter if you are new to genealogy or have been doing this for a while, we’ve all made them — mistakes and assumptions as we climb up our family …
My girlfriend recently got re-entered into the census – she listened to
this video with headphones?

Crista, your information and tips on common mistakes made in genealogy, is
very well presented, and easy to follow; particularly for those who are
green to genealogy.
I have already made some of these mistakes; relying on the family trees of
others was an easy one to make. I blindly accepted that the sources and
research in the family trees of others, was accurate. By relying on the
family trees of other members, I then jumped to conclusions about “my”
ancestors, which in turn, were not related to me. LOL, I then started to
build a branch for a new ancestor, and realized, this person isn’t part of
my family. I then clicked on a couple of links on Ancestry.com, which
brought me to your videos. Thank you, again!

good video. CTLR + will increase your screen size so we can see the text on
the screen more clearly.

Enjoyed the video very much. I learned quite a few things from you that I
did not know about in Ancestry.com.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Mark!

Whether you have been doing this for 30 years, or you just started last
week, Crista’s presentations are great. I’m in the first category (and am
probably a bit of a snob about it, to be honest), but I never fail to learn
something from her videos. I hope that the folks at Ancestry realize what a
valuable asset she is!!
How do you get census images??
